Werkmeister Conference - New Work on Imagination
Save the date for the 2025 Werkmeister Conference. Join us Feb. 7-8 as we explore imagination and mental imagery, topics of increasing importance in philosophy and empirical psychology. Questions investigated include: What are the different types of imagining? Does all imagination involve image-like content? How does imagination relate to knowledge? What relation does imagination bear to other mental kinds, such as desire, memory, perception and emotion?
Conference speakers include Reza Hadisi of the University of Toronto, Hannah Kim of the University of Arizona, Amy Kind of Claremont McKenna College, Peter Langland-Hassan of the University of Cincinnati, Marco Mattei of the University of Milan, Emine Hande Tuna of the University of California, Santa Cruz, and Neil Van Leeuwen of Florida State University.
